Cellergy cuts its supercapacitor leakage
Super capacitor manufacturer Cellergy has launched a lower-leakage range.
“The 12mm square CLC range offers 50% lower leakage than the current CLG range, as low as 1.5uA,” said the firm. They will offer a better solution for applications which require very low leakage: typical including RFID tags and low power wireless transmitters.”
Today, the firm has yet to release any more data on the CLC range.
12×12.5mm variants of the CLG range have 3-6µA leakage, 7-25mF capacitance, and 3.5-6.3V maximum voltage.
The firm markets its capacitors for use in parallel with batteries to supply peak current demand.
ESR in the CLG range is 300mΩ to 1.2Ω
It makes its capacitors using a proprietary screen printing process and rates them at a minimum of 500,000 charge and discharge cycles.
Broadband Technology 2000 distributes Cellergy supercapacitors.
