"I would like to thank the winners of each of the awards for their efforts at this year's show", comments Justin Tadman, Exhibition Director. "The reward for exhibitors applying thought and imagination to their Nepcon appearance is a highly successful show for all those involved." An award was presented to The SMART Group for attracting the most visitors of any supporting trade group. "The number of trade groups getting involved and supporting Nepcon is growing every year," commented Claire Jeffreys, "and the SMART Group has once again put an outstanding amount of effort into promoting the event within the industry. The Process Technology Seminars have become a great success under The SMART Group's organisation and its continued support is much appreciated. We look forward to working together for the benefit of Nepcon for many years to come."

Set up to encourage exhibitors to invite clients and contacts to the event, both companies once again attracted the most visitors in their respective stand size categories, under 40m2 and over 40m2 respectively. "I'm not sure exactly what they're doing, but whatever it is, it's working!", commented Nepcon Sales Manager Claire Jeffreys, who presented the awards. "This is a great example of what a little extra promotional effort can achieve, and is of benefit not only to Mossman Tebbs and Contax, but also to the show as a whole. The challenge is now down for someone to stop them winning again next year!" Meanwhile, National Instruments won the award for 'Best Pre-Show Promotion' with its campaign of scratch cards pushing a competition to win a Palm Pilot. Together with its series of 'Test Yourself' inserts and cover slots in trade journals highlighting the company's appearance at the event, the competition helped to create awareness of the show and to encourage visitor attendance. The 'Best Stand Design' awards were won by Pace Europe, in the 'Space Only' category, and Dexter Electronics, in the 'Shell Scheme' category. Both companies designed and put-together highly-effective and distinctive stands that added to the Nepcon experience.
